BuddhaBadges
BuddhaBadges is a little non-profit project that intends to create and sell 1" punk badges to the Dharma Bum, Dharma Punx, Zen Punk, and Buddhist community (and anyone else, basically) in order to raise good money for some good causes. With about 20 or so badges up for grabs so far, 90% of the monies made from these fine little ditties will be donated to the cause of the month, whereas the rest will go toward making more awesome yet meaningful badges.
Web Design... Utilizing some good design choices, solid XHTML/CSS coding, and some ingenious Javascript, BuddhaBadges.com is a slick and simple number that keeps the focus of the project right in front: get some style while donating with a smile. Changing background patterns, sliding image galleries, and a complete hook-up to Paypal for ordering, the site stands on it's own visually and accessibly. Want a badge? Logo Development... With so many badges on the site and in the hopper for the future, we wanted to create a logo that didn't get "pinned" down to just one style, so we made the logo modular, with 4 different icons to choose from and rotate through as the site was navigated. Just a little bit creativity for a really creative project. Click the image to the left to get a better shot.
Badge Design... Variety is the name of the game when you are dealing with a world of 6 or so billion people, so we created a variety of badges with Buddhist-inspired, mashed-up imagery to generate interest and dollars for the good causes.
