Inked-Up

Inked-Up is a fully functioning membership social network aimed at creating a customizable and connectivity-focused environment for the LGBT community interested in Body Modification, Piercing, and Tattooing. With over 1,100 members so far, the network has garnered an international following with members as far-reaching as Thailand, Australia, and Argentina. First launched in November of 2008, the network has qucikly grown with Forums, Leagues, Chatting, Events, and customizable personal pages with galleries and music.

Web Design... We used a time-tested, mother approved format in order to give as much flexibility and functionality to the Inked-Up users as possible. Gathering the best aspects of both MySpace and Facebook, this membership network allows the user complete control over how their page looks, how their content and imagery is presented, and how they want to interact with other members—be it through network email, blogs, chat, or wall posts. Logo Development... In order to incorporate all the aspects that such a colorful community can contain, we started wiith a sacred heart to instill both a friendly yet tattoo-specific notion. We then riddled it with piercings, stars, and the double gender icons to incorporate not only the popular 60's symbols that denoted male and female homosexuality, but also as a play on gender to allow transgendered and eunich folk to identify with the mark. Business Cards... Business cards are business cards, so we followed the style guide we set up accordingly, emblazoning the Inked-Up motto across the bottom: "Be Tatted. Be Pierced. Be Modified. Be Gay. Be Seen. Be Nice." Click the image to the right to see it close up.

Tee Shirts... No better way to promote a social network about body modification then to give it's members a shirt or two to display across their body. With two versions, full color and white on black, many of the members have already picked up the shirt and wear them proudly. Click the image to the left to see.
