Precious Metal
Precious Metal is a popular Wordpress-based blog done by a great guy named Nate who reviews all sorts of cultural items from blogs to books to food to music to videos, all from a Rock-N-Roll meets Meditation mindset. So when Nate approached us with a simple request to make the look of his blog match the might of his words, how could any true artist and Punk Rock lover refuse?
Web Design... Basically working with the existing Wordpress template already in place, the site's redesign became a process of creating key elements (i.e. logo and header) and matching the style and tone of the rest of the blog accordingly (font, background, colors, etc.) It turned out a true testament to Nate's right-view ramblings. Logo Development... Realistically, the entire project hangs from the logo created for Nate. Working with him to get it just right, he supplied us with samples and ideas that all came together to form a wonderful, almost autobiographical rendition of a Metal Meditator, rocking out while tuning in. Header Development... Incorporating the awesome logo we created into the design couldn't be just a cut-and-paste job: it needed a proper mantle to hold his metalness. The creation of the header brought the entire piece together with the introduction of the title, in true rocker typography. Click the image to the right to view the header.
T-shirts... A limited run of shirts were created and sold to promote the blog and to raise funds to donate to a worthy cause. Upon request, we quickly created the design and sent it to Nate, who sold them directly through our friends at RedBubble.
